Boards hub and work item features

Boards hub (Prompt Templates and AI Chat)​

Under Boards > ClearSpecs AI, you can:

  • Prompt Templates - Search, filter, create, and edit prompts shared for your project or organization (subject to your permissions and policies).
  • AI Chat - Conversational assistant that can reference live work items, ask focused follow-up questions, and propose creates or updates for you to review before they apply.

On the work item​

  • Templates - Pick a template in card view (searchable) or compact one-tap actions for speed.
  • Writing mode - Compose ad hoc prompts when you need something outside the template catalog.
  • AI Child Item Generator - Suggest child items (for example Test Case), refine with optional focus text, regenerate, then select items to create.
  • AI Work Item Insights - Summaries, decisions, gaps, and follow-ups grounded in the current item.

Org administration​

Central settings for prompts and usage help admins keep rollout consistent. Exact admin surfaces follow your Azure DevOps extension permissions and the product version you have installed.
