Install and enable

Prerequisites

• Permission to install extensions for the organization (or ask an admin), per Microsoft’s extension installation guidance.

Install from the Marketplace

1. Open the ClearSpecs AI listing on the Visual Studio Marketplace.
2. Choose Get it free (or Install) and select your Azure DevOps organization.
3. Complete the installation wizard and assign the extension to the accounts that should use it.

Where to open the product

• Work item form: ClearSpecs AI appears on work item types where your process layout includes the extension. If you do not see it, follow How to enable in XML process templates (inheritance layout designer and witadmin export where applicable).
• Boards hub: Open Boards > ClearSpecs AI for Prompt Templates and AI Chat.

After installation, individual users do not configure AI endpoints - that is handled by the hosted service behind the extension.
