From titles to descriptions and acceptance criteria

Thin titles make boards hard to prioritize. ClearSpecs AI helps you stay on the work item while expanding scope and criteria.

Workflow

  1. Open the work item with a minimal title or vague description.
  2. Pick a prompt template your org uses for “fill description” or “definition of ready,” or open Writing mode with your own instructions.
  3. Run the prompt, then edit the generated text to match team vocabulary, non-functional requirements, and links to specs or designs.
  4. Save the work item and link related items as needed.

Outcomes to aim for

  • A description that states who, what, and why at the right level for the item type.
  • Acceptance criteria as bullet checks that testers and reviewers can verify.
  • Explicit out of scope notes when ambiguity caused rework in the past.

Hosted and Local LLM builds share this pattern; offline (privately distributed) setups only differ in where the model runs (see Offline).
